This project promotes low impact, contemporary outdoor living in coastal Queensland, enabling life to be connect sensitively to nature and the environment. In order to reduce the impact of the building on its environment, the hosue was designed to gradually step back each of the 4 levels in line with the sloped gradient which also allowed us to connect the rear gardens and lawn to the indoor living area and kitchen. Finished with Tasmanian Oak timber flooring throughout and accompanied by large stretching timber stairs, this house has a warm natural feel as it embraces and frames the view of the beautiful Keppel Islands and Yeppoon’s beaches.
