16 BARTLEM STREET
This project involved a complete facelift to the front of the house including a slight extension to the internal floor space of the living/dining rooms as well as the master bedroom on level 3. The distinctive white ‘Scyon Matrix’ feature band gives the front of the house a sense of depth to emphasise the design of the void from bedroom 2’s verandah on level 3. The use of the merbau timber panelling and soffits give the house a soft and natural feel in order to contradict some strong colours and materials used throughout the house, including the bright garage door and laser cut panelling to the entry area. The practical verandahs on both levels capture the beautiful views offered by the Keppel Islands while also employing their own sense of privacy, particularly between the upper level bedroom verandahs.
